NEW HAMPSHIRE NEWS

Exeter Area – The NH Small Business Development Center, in conjunction with the Chamber, has opened an office at the Chamber where they will hold FREE business counseling sessions. The Development Center will offer assistance to existing and new businesses seeking help with business planning, cash flow projections, strategic planning, and loan package development. The Development Center is a non-profit organization supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the NH Dept. of Resources and Economic Development, UNH, and the private sector.

 

Greater Concord – The Chamber has a new Outreach Task Force. With as much at 40% of Chamber members outside Concord, the group is meeting with community leaders to assess issues and how the Chamber can be more involved. Besides the Flying Yankee Train restoration project, the Chamber is partnering with other chambers state wide in conducting a health insurance premiums business survey to determine changes in insurance premiums.

 

Greater Rochester – The Chamber has a new part-time Membership Director. She is Elaine Case. Her background includes office management, sales, marketing development, customer service, and she has organized a number of fund raisers. She is responsible for membership recruitment and retention efforts. She will be working closely with members of the President’s Committee to provide her with new member leads and the Ambassador’s Committee on strategies to retain existing members. She works at the Chamber three days a week.
